Biography

In 1991, Sandra began her career as a prosecutor with the Office of the State Attorney.  As an Assistant State Attorney, Sandra prosecuted and tried a wide range of cases in Orange and Osceola County from Driving Under the Influence to First Degree Murder.

In 1999, Sandra became Deputy General Counsel for the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation (MBI), a multi-agency law enforcement task force empowered to conduct narcotics, vice and organized crime investigations.  As the Deputy General Counsel to the MBI, Sandra assisted law enforcement agents with applications and court orders for search warrants, arrest warrants, cell phone tracking, vehicle tracking, and telephone wiretap authorizations to intercept communications.  In addition to assisting law enforcement officers with investigations, Sandra prosecuted and successfully tried MBI cases involving complex drug conspiracies.

In 2001, Sandra became a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Office of the United States Attorney for the Middle District of Florida.  As a Special Assistant United States Attorney, Sandra was employed by the Winter Park Police Department to provide legal assistance to state and federal agents assigned to the Central Florida High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA), a program created by Congress to provide assistance to Federal, state and local law enforcement agencies operating in areas determined to be critical drug-trafficking regions of the United States.  In addition to providing legal assistance as a Special Assistant United States Attorney,  Sandra successfully tried several drug conspiracy cases in federal court in the Middle District of Florida.

In 2002, Sandra became an Assistant United States Attorney for the Office of the United States Attorney for the Middle District of Florida.

As an Assistant United States Attorney, Sandra prosecuted a wide variety of federal crimes, wrote appellate briefs on behalf of the United States, and represented the United States in post-conviction matters.

In 2011, Sandra joined the State of Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) as a Senior Attorney.  While working for DCF, Sandra represented the State of Florida on behalf of abused, abandoned and neglected children.

In 2013, Sandra opened the Law Office of Sandra L. Woodall.  Since opening her own law office, Sandra has had the pleasure of using her prior extensive experience as a former state prosecutor, former federal prosecutor and former Senior Attorney with the State of Florida Department of Children and Families to assist countless Central Floridians with their criminal and family law matters.

I have worked with Ms. Woodall dating back to the early 90’s when she was a state prosecutor and I was a public defender. We had trials together. She went on to become a federal prosecutor and later in private practice. She is a person with highest integrity and vast legal knowledge amassed over 20 years in various roles within the criminal justice system.
